Linda Sue McCulley lived 78 extraordinary years. On Aug. 21, 2026, she passed peacefully with her family at her bedside.
She was born on Dec. 7, 1947, to George and Virginia Hamilton (nee Hunter) in St. Louis.
She had a talent for making ordinary moments unforgettable. Sunday dinners, holiday traditions and lazy afternoons spent talking became memories her family and friends will treasure forever. If you knew Sue, you knew—”that nobody left the house without a full stomach and a to-go plate.”
Some of her favorite memories are fishing at Sunnen Lake, on the bass boat with dad on the Gasconade River, swimming in her pool and collecting antiques. Sue leaves behind a legacy of friendship. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by the people she loved.
Sue was preceded in death by parents George and Virginia; eldest daughter, Shari Ann Lipsinsky (née McCulley); siblings Dorothy Baker (née Hamilton) and husband Pete and June Boston (née Hamilton) and husband Elmer.
She is survived by husband, John A.; son, John S.; and daughter, Abby L. Schneider and husband Christopher; grandchildren, Christopher Lance Lipsinsky, Justin A. Lipsinsky, Rieley N. Schneider and Eli J. McCulley.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled soon and details will be shared with everyone as soon as they have been arranged.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you would honor Sue’s memory by sharing a dinner with your loved ones. She loved nothing more than breaking bread and quality time with the people she cherished.
Arrangements entrusted to Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
