Linn man injured in two-vehicle accident

A Linn man was injured Aug. 29 in a rollover accident on State Highway 28 near the intersection of Osage County Road 754 outside of Belle when the 2005 Chevrolet truck he was pulling jackknifed and caused the 1977 Chevrolet truck he was operating to travel off the left side of the roadway and overturn.

According to Osage County Deputy Amy Keilholz who investigated the accident, Lakin Stull off Linn was towing the 2005 truck, driven by Matthew Cain of Owensville, east on Highway 28 toward Bland when the towed vehicle suddenly jackknifed. The 2005 Chevrolet collided with the back of the 1977 pickup, causing it to leave the roadway, overturn and come to rest on its top in the ditch.

Osage Ambulance District transported Stull to University of Missouri Hospital for head and neck pain. He suffered from several lacerations, according to the Osage County report. It is unknown if he was wearing a seatbelt.
