Marcella Koenigsfeld, 85, Linn, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, at Heisinger Bluffs in Jefferson City.
She was born on Nov. 28, 1940, to the late John and Margaret (Brandt) Stieferman in Linn.
She was a graduate of Fatima High School and the Business Training Institute.
Marcella was united in marriage to Ray Koenigsfeld on Sept. 5, 1959, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein.
She was employed by the State of Missouri for the Barber Board until she started their family. Marcella then became a stay-at-home mom, farmer and babysitter. Once all the grandchildren were in school, she went to work at Elliott Chiropractic in Linn until her health started to fail.
Marcella was an active member of St. George Catholic Church in Linn, where she sang in the parish choir and was a communion minister. She was also a member of the St. Ann’s Sodality and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed baking, and anything outdoors like fishing, hunting, farming and raising a garden to feed her family. In the evenings, Marcella enjoyed visiting with family and friends, playing cards and having a fun happy hour.
She was preceded in death by husband of 55 years, Ray; parents, John and Margaret; and siblings, Mildred, Dorothy, Melvin, Alfred, Clem, Bernie and Catherine.
Marcella is survived by children, Stan Koenigsfeld and wife Julie of Taos, Margie Bunch and husband Joe of Frankenstein, Glen Koenigsfeld and wife BeBe of Linn and Rhonda Elliott of Loose Creek; grandchildren, Tom Koenigsfeld and wife Stacey, Dan Koenigsfeld and wife Liz, John Koenigsfeld and wife Erin, Ashley Wickman and husband Chad, Joey Lauts and husband Jeremiah, Sammey Bunch and fiancé, Trevor Mull, Bridget Otto and husband Derek, Marcy Joens and husband Donald and Levi Elliott and wife Malorie; 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Don Stieferman and wife Betty of Bonnots Mill; sister, Gerry Broker and husband Elmer of Bonnots Mill; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 22, at St. George Catholic Church in Linn, with Rev. Colin Franklin officiating. Interment was in the St. George Parish Cemetery.
