Margaret “Margie” Shelley, 75, Linn, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
She was born July 13, 1947, to the late Elmer and Agatha (Taube) Rackers in Jefferson City.
She was united in marriage to Kenneth Shelley Oct. 8, 1966, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos.
Margie was employed with Scholastic, Inc. in Jefferson City.
She was preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Agatha and sisters, Marilyn Hoelscher and Patricia Deters.
Margie is survived by spouse of 56 years, Kenneth; daughters, Beatrice and Rebecca Shelley, both of Linn; sisters, Bonnie Gabelsberger and husband Bob of Frankenstein and Wanda Rothove and husband Bill of Frankenstein; and brother-in-law, Donnie Hoelscher.
Funeral services were held May 8, at Morton Chapel in Linn with Janice Wilson officiating. Interment was in Linn Public Cemetery.
Memorial contributions suggested to the Salvation Army.
