Mary Beth Otto 1954-2025

Mary Beth Otto (Brune), 71, Osage Beach, passed away peacefully at home Oct. 21, 2025, surrounded by family and love after a courageous battle with acute myeloid leukemia.

She was united in marriage to Tom Otto in 1975, and together they shared 50 years of love, laughter, and adventure. They raised three daughters—Christine, Sarah (with her husband David), and Teresa (with her husband Harsha)—and were later blessed with seven grandchildren: Riley, Hailey, Otto, Louie, Jude, Arjun, and Nikhil.

Mary Beth worked as a home economics teacher and retired in 2014.

She took great pride in her kitchen, where she made countless meals and birthday cakes for her family.

Mary Beth loved traveling, boating on the lake, skiing in Colorado in memory of her late brother Kenny, and exploring new cultures—whether in India, Europe, South America, or across U.S. national parks.

She also enjoyed playing pickleball with Tom and their many friends, and dancing with him whenever there was music. For more than five decades, Mary Beth served as a Catholic church organist, beginning at age 16. She found purpose in her music and joy in her faith community.

Mary Beth was preceded in death by father,Vince;and younger brother, Kenny. 

She is survived by husband, Tom; mother,  Lucille; daughters, Christine, Sarah and husband David and Teresa and husband Harsha; grandchildren, Riley, Hailey, Otto, Louie, Jude, Arjun and Nikhil; brother, Larry; and sister, Diane.

Mary Beth will be remembered for her warmth, her faith, and her enduring love for family and friends.

Mass of Christian burial was held Saturday, Oct. 25, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Camdenton. Interment was in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
