Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Posted

I look back on the year and hope I’ve done my part to make our state a better place to live, work, and play. I know most of you work hard every day for your families and for your community. Thank you for all you do. Working together for good sustains us socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

I hope you have time to enjoy the fruits of your labors this holiday season. I pray this Advent season brings to you and your family many blessings and renews your faith and trust in God.

I have some work to do in the coming year.

There continues to be the challenge of considering only the best legislation. The future election cycle will bring changes in the personality of the legislature.

Government agencies and organizations play a key role as I expand my understanding of the complexities of this political machine. Time passes much too quickly. Every day I am humbled to be your elected representative of our government.

Thank you for your support.

We will have challenges at home and in our communities.

It is never easy, but each of us can resolve in the New Year to do better.  But for the moment, during this joyous season, take the time to live life for good.  Enjoy the company of family, friends, neighbors, and strangers.

And, to quote Max Ehrmann from 1927, “Be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.”

My wish for you this holiday season and in all of your futures is peace, happiness, friendship, good luck, and love.
