Mike Busche, Sr. 1943-2026

Mike W. Busche, Sr., 83, Linn, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on April 26, 1943, to the late William and Emily (Seger) Busche in Portland, Ore.

He earned his Associate of Applied Science degree from Central Oregon Community College.

Mike was united in marriage to  Patricia Hemminger Oct. 13, 1971, in Casper, Wyo. 

He owned and operated his own over-the-road trucking business for over 25 years. 

Mike was a member of St. George Catholic Church in Linn.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, raising a garden, making furniture, woodworking, watching corny horror movies and westerns, and being with his dog and cats. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.   

Mike was preceded in death by parents, William and Emily; and daughter, Cherish Busche.

He is survived by wife of 54 years, Patricia;  children, William Busche  and wife Monica of Linn, Christine Busche of Salem, Ore., Michael Busche and wife Rachel of Wardsville and Janet Barnes and husband Jonathan of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Gillian Davis, Kaleb Busche, Mason  and Kinsey Field, Brandon and Cody Davidson and Jennifer Wilber; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Tom Busche and wife Dory of Coos Bay, Ore. and Stephen Busche and wife Charlotte of Vancouver, Wash.;  sisters, Cathy Busche and Mary Rose Busche, both of Prineville, Ore.; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Visitation will be held from 10 until 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 3, followed by the Memorial Service at Morton Chapel in Linn, with Deacon Robert Schowengerdt officiating. Inurnment will be held in Highland Cemetery in Casper, Wyo. 

Memorial contributions suggested to the wishes of the family.
