Columbia College senior Morgan Brandt was named to the NAIA All-America Third-Team following a very successful season in which she averaged 12.9 points and nine rebounds a game. She is also the first CC player - male or female - to finish with 1,000 points and 1,000rebounds in her career as a Cougar.

She finished with 1,408 points, 1,002 career rebounds and 229 steals in her four years at Columbia College.

She shot 44.5% from the floor and 81.5% from the line, while dishing out 82 assists. Brandt scored a season-high 23 against Cardinal Stritch University Nov. 2, 2018, 18 rebounds in a February game against Freed Hareman (Tennessee).

For the year, Brandt went 125-154 from the line and hit 37 three-pointers.

Brandt earned AMC Academic All-Conference honors this year and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in science with a minor in psychology.

Brandt is now a Three-Time All-American. She was named second team in 2017-18 and earned Honorable Mention in 2016-17.

Last year she started all 33 games as a junior, averaging 11.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.8 steals per game, while shooting 73.7% from the line. She tied for first on the team with 59 steals.

Brandt scored a season-high 23 points against William Woods University, and had a season-high 16 rebounds vs. Williams Woods University, recorded seven double-doubles on the season, and ranked 19th in Division I in total rebounds (264), 22nd in defensive rebounds per game (5.909), and 29th in total rebounds per game (8.000).

Brandt also earned AMC Academic All- Conference honors in the 2017-18 season, was named First Team All-AMC, the AMC All-Defensive Team, and was named AMC Player of the Week two times last season.

She also moved into fourth place all time on the Columbia College career rebounds list with 713 at the conclusion of last year and was eighth on the career steals leader list with 168.

She is the daughter of Steve and Julie Brandt of Loose Creek.
