Robert C. Rawlings, 42, of Linn, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance except for 35 grams or less marijuana following the July 1 execution of a search warrant.
According to a probable cause statement filed by the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force, the warrant was executed at about 6:30 p.m. July 1 at the defendant’s home on Hwy. 89 Spur. Rawlings was also searched and found to be in possession of a bag containing a white crystal that later tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.
During a search of the home, a glass smoking pipe was located in the bedroom, which Rawlings admitted he owned. It also later tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.
The PC statement noted that during an on-scene interview after being advised of his rights, Rawlings admitted to using meth earlier in the day.
Rawlings is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond and is due to appear before Judge Sonya Brandt at 10 a.m. Aug. 24 for a bond hearing.
