Bryan and Wilma Rowden of Meta wish to announce the engagement of their daughter Melanie Rowden, to Anthony “Tony” Swarthout, son of Jeff and Carrie Swarthout of Freeburg.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Warren and Mary Joyce Helton and Herbert Rowden and the late Eugenia “Jane” Rowden, all of Vienna. She is a 2017 graduate of Lincoln University and is currently employed with Maries R-1 Elementary School.
The groom-to-be is the grandson of Cecilia and Donnie Schmitz and the late Bob Becker of Freeburg and Dave and Kay Swarthout of Vienna. He is currently employed with Thermal Tech.
The couple is planning an Oct. 17, 2020 wedding.
