Roy Beel, 70, Frankenstein, passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Oct. 7, 1955, to the late George and Gertrude (Eftink) Beel in Cape Girardeau.

He was a 1974 graduate of Leopold High School in Leopold. In 1974 he was selected as Mr. Varsity at Leopold High School, an honor his family was exceptionally proud of.

Roy was united in marriage to Barbara Frank April 1, 1978, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee.

Together they stitched together nearly 50 years of marriage-equal parts devotion, humor and resilience-while raising four daughters in a home that was never short on love or personality.

Throughout his life, Roy worked as a dairy farmer, in construction, and as a turkey farmer. He was a hardworking man who took pride in providing for his family.

Roy was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and other sports, watching television with the sound off (a well deserved privilege after raising four daughters), and—most of all—spending time with his grandchildren.

Roy was preceded in death by sister, Anna Mae Beel; father-in-law, Alvin M. Frank; and brother-in-law, Joe David Frank.

He is survived by beloved wife, Barbara “Barb” Beel; daughters, Melanie Peters and husband Greg, Olivia Hancock and husband Keith, Emma Tuthill and husband Shawn  and Robyn Potts and husband Shaun; brothers, Ray Beel and wife Sharon and Kevin Beel and wife Cindy; sisters, Glenda Blattel and husband John and Sue Stroder and husband Marty; and grandchildren, Margaret, Tristan and Anthony Peters, Stella, Wyatt and Colton Hancock, Marissa, Noah, Laura and Henry Tuthill and Aiden and Adella Potts.

Roy will be dearly missed and fondly remembered forever--- GONE FISHING!
