The Toumani of Indictments

Posted

The indictments against Ex-President Trump are underway, and more will certainly follow.  Special Prosecutor Jack Smith appears to be just warming up, as Ex-President Trump keeps provident more ammunition of actions that need to be investigated.  Remember that Jack Smith is also charged with investigating the J06 attempted coup of our government, and now there the retention and handling of documents in New Jersey.  Boxes of materials, to include highly classified documents were in the bathrooms in N.J., certainly not under lock and key.  There is the ongoing case in GA in which Trumps “Perfect phone call” raises many questions about illegally overturning an election.

As Ex-President Trump gets more and more desperate, he seems to be losing control of himself, engaging in hysterical attacks against anybody or government agency who speaks out against him.  Ret Gen John Kelly recently said that “Trump is scared ••Itless.  What strikes me is how so many of Trumps long time defenders are abandoning him.  Karl Rove of all people stated that “Trump invited these indictments.  Bill Barr, who in truth functioned as Trump’s personal attorney rather than the AG of the United States was even more damning, stating that “If ever 50 percent of these charges are true, Trump is toast.  He went even further this past weekend, and stated that in his opinion “Trump lied”, again and again.  I fail to see anything new in that, except that Bill Barr said it.   Instead of Donald Trump throwing his ex-supporters under the bus, Mr. Trump is being thrown under the bus with increasing regularity.  Even Fox non-news seems to be cooling off on supporting Mr. Trump and If Donald Trump loses the support of the Rupert Murdock media empire, he has almost no friends left.  Mr. Murdock’s empire includes the once reputable WSJ, which no longer separates the news from its Pro-Trump supporting opinions.

We hear complaints about the “Weaponization of the government”, but in truth one needs to look nu further than how Mr. Trump weaponized the government with Bill Barr being the prime example.  And Donald Trump is no doubt very disappointed in “My” Supreme Court, who failed to support him in many cases that they heard about the 2020 election.

In fact, after winning a gigged election in 2016, with the assistance of Vladimir Putin, and having lost three elections after that, Donald Trump is trying to rig the next election with state sponsored attacks on voting rights and gerrymandering.  And with a republican leaning biased electoral college, he just might succeed.

The Republican Party his won just one of the last 8 Presidential elections if measured by popular vote.  If you believe in democracy, the will of the majority should prevail.
