Dear Editor:
A recent letter to the UD suggested that “Trump’s woes continue”; one must ask “why?” The normal Leftist response runs along the lines of ‘he’s evil, racist, misogynist, egomaniacal, narcissistic, a miscreant of a man’. The writer referenced that Trump “lost” his appeal to the Georgia Supreme Court, when in fact, Georgia’s highest court simply “dismissed” Trump’s bid to quash the Grand Jury report that recommended criminal charges, citing that Trump could not bypass lower courts first. Big difference. I was surprised to learn (sarcasm) that our upstanding Attorney General, Merrick Garland, did not pursue Trump cases early on with any “priority” out of concern for it appearing “political” and that “his hand was forced by the J06 hearings and by Donald Trump’s declaring himself to be a Presidential candidate.” Excuse me, did you just admit Garland is going after Trump because he’s a presidential candidate? A broken law is a reason to open a case, it’s not to stop a candidate?
Revelations by whistleblowers of DOJ, FBI and IRS weaponization contradict the suggested narrative. Federal law enforcements targeting parent groups that want a voice in their child’s education, targeting pro-life groups while minimizing the bombings of pregnancy resource centers, the whole Hunter Biden investigation mess, all suggest something is really wrong here. As stated in an earlier letter of mine, no incidents more clearly define this malfeasance than the matters involving President Biden’s inappropriate storage of classified documents (going back to his days as VP and as a Senator), or Hillary Clinton’s personal server to store 33,000 Government emails with over 2000 containing Classified materials. Nothing at all came of Biden’s transgressions and James Comey’s investigation report, literally written before the investigation concluded, pronounced that while Clinton mishandled sensitive material “our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.” By that standard is Garland not being unreasonable?
Let’s be honest, Joe Biden, the gaff machine with less than 40% popularity, must stop Trump at any and all cost. Trump’s woes continue because the Left-leaning Democrat machine will stop at nothing to make that happen, even if it means making a case out of thin air. They’ll attack Trump’s ethics, his hairstyle, his bombastic personality, anything. Even with many great candidates in the Republican field, Trump is the proverbial 800-pound gorilla that can’t be ignored for now. The real irony is each indictment raises his polling and fundraising; you’d think they’d learn. Scrambling for another buy-the-vote message to younger people, the Biden WH again reflexively promises $39B in student loan forgiveness in direct contradiction to the recent Supreme Court decision, while Antony Blinkin and Janet Yellin simply can’t bow low enough to our Chinese adversaries. Dems will stop at nothing.
