State Tech students Mason Zollman of Lathrop, and Eric Estrada of Columbia have been selected to attend the Missouri Governor’s Student Leadership Forum to be held Feb. 25-27 in Jefferson City.
“We are excited how Eric has shown his leadership as a Student Government Association Officer, his willingness to be engaged as a leader on campus, and how he brings good ideas from the student body,” said Vice President of Student Affairs Dr. Chris Bowser, who nominated both students. “We are just as excited about Mason. As a first-year student, he has become engaged on campus quickly. He has grown that experience into becoming a State Tech marketing intern in his first semester and has already thrown his name into the ring for an SGA officer for the 22-23 school year. We could not be more proud of both of these young men.”
Their nominations are based on their GPA, conduct, campus leadership, and student involvement.
The Missouri Governor’s Student Leadership Forum selects students across the state to aid in their leadership skills. The three-day event will feature Gov. Michael Parson, special guest speakers, and other leadership workshops.
“I think this will be an amazing opportunity for me,” said Zollman. “I hope to develop life skills that will help me when I transition into the business world when I graduate from State Tech.”
