Patricia J. Garreau, 77, Linn, passed away on Friday, Feb.13, 2026, at her residence.
She was born on June 16, 1948, to the late James and Florence (McCabe) Rowan in Burlington, Iowa.
She was a 1966 graduate of Norte Dame High School in Burlington, Iowa and later earned her BS from Florida State University.
Patricia proudly served her country in the U. S. Army.
She was united in marriage to Lyle E. Garreau on March 29, 1974, in Fort Huachuca, Ariz.
Patricia enjoyed photography, woodworking, reading, playing cards, doing puzzles, baking and gardening, especially her yellow tea rose. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
Patricia was preceded in death by spouse of 50 years, Lyle; parents, James and Florence; infant son, Chad Garreau; and brother, Michael Rowan.
She is survived by children, Gail Lande and husband Marvin of Guthrie Center, Iowa and Kelly Garreau of Linn; grandchildren, Jessica Lande of Gilbert, Iowa and Shelby Cunningham and husband Travis of Zephyrhills, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Luke and Liam Cunningham and Grayson and Harper Lande; brother, Tom Rowan and wife Sara of Danville, Iowa; sister, Kathleen Peterschmidt and husband Vern of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sister-in-law, Jody Rowan of New London, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10 until 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 27, followed by funeral services at Morton Chapel in Linn. Interment with Full Military Honors will be in St. George Parish Cemetery.
Memorial contributions suggested to St. George Catholic Church in Linn.
