On Thursday, the Fatima Lady Comets’ soccer team fell to Christian Fellowship, 10-2.
Lauren Stuecken and Abby Rogers each scored a goal, with an assist from Casey Kleffner. In goal, Caroline Neubert posted 23 saves, and Maura Falter added 16.
“The team continues to develop and work toward their seasonal objectives,” said Coach Kelley-Marie Wibberg. “Despite players being sidelined due to illness and injuries, many of our athletes demonstrated remarkable adaptability and learned effectively in real time. Team morale remained consistently high throughout the game, and we extend our sincere gratitude to our captains, Carmen Falter, Lily Borgmeyer, and Kacie Haller, for prioritizing this aspect throughout the season.”
Assistant Coach Katie Hudspeth added, “While the outcome was a loss, the team gained valuable insights collectively and individually, which will contribute to their ongoing growth in each subsequent game.”
