Angela Ann (Koerber) Welschmeyer, 90, Freeburg, passed away on Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, at Stonebridge Senior Living (Westphalia Hills).
She was born on May 29, 1936, to the late Henry and Barbara Ann (Haller) Koerber in Rich Fountain.
She was baptized at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain on May 31, 1936.
Angela was united in marriage to Martin (Marty) J. Welschmeyer on Sept. 26, 1953, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Freeburg.
She spent her life as a loving and caring wife, mother and homemaker to her husband and their six children and many grandchildren.
Angela was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church where she helped to initiate the Holy Family Parish Quilting Club and where she enjoyed many years of designing, piecing, quilting and hemming beautiful quilts.
Some of Angela’s favorite past times were music, dancing and spending time with her family and many friends at the Gasconade River. She and her sister Betty enjoyed traveling together to destinations such as Germany, the Bahamas, Florida and Myrtle Beach just to name a few.
Angela was preceded in death by husband, Martin; parents, Henry and Barbara Ann; son, Kevin Welschmeyer; brother, Henry (Hank) Koerber; sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Redel; and grandsons, Christopher Crane and Jeffery Welschmeyer.
She is survived by children, Barbara Williams,Wanda (Otto) Williams, Karl Welschmeyer, Kenneth Welschmeyer and wife Barbara and Patricia Phelps and husband David; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren with another great-great-grandchild expected in December; and brother, Robert Vermoilen.
The Memorial Service was held on Friday, Aug. 28, at the Trimble Funeral Home – Westphalia, with Rev. William D. Debo, Pastor of Holy Family Church, Freeburg and Chaplain Scott Barton of Central Missouri Hospice in Jefferson City officiating. Music was provided by Dr. Barbara Howard and Mr. James Howard.
Interment was in Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery.
