Stephanie M. Vancleve, 40, of St. Joseph, was charged Tuesday with felony forgery following an investigation into alleged activities at the end of January.
According to a probable cause statement filed by Linn Police Officer Lukefahr Probst, on Jan. 29, at approximately 3:13 p.m., Vancleve attempted to cash a forged check made out to “Lisa D. Dungen" for $1,000 at Mid America Bank in Linn.
The owners' names on the check are Harold Gentges and Christopher Gentges, of Linn.
Vancleve provided the bank teller with an identification card of Lisa D. Dungen with a date of birth of Aug. 30, 1966. The bank teller stated the identification card provided and the woman who presented it did not appear to be the same woman.
Two eyewitnesses identified the suspect as Vancleve through a photo lineup provided by the Missouri Information Analysis Center.
