Freeburg native Capt. Brad Wieberg, commander of Missouri National Guard’s 1139th Military Police Company, will soon be heading for Kuwait, where he and his soldiers will conduct law and order and protective services missions in support of Operations Spartan Shield and Enduring Freedom.
A deployment ceremony was held Saturday at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City.
The unit conducted its pre-deployment mission training at Fort Leonard Wood and will now head to Texas to conduct validation training before heading to Southwest Asia.
