Ada Pearl Hoy, 99, Freeburg, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023, in Capitol Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
She was born Feb. 21, 1924, to the late James and Flore (Robinson) Welch in Sturgeon.
She was united in marriage to John J. Hoy Sept. 14, 1957, in Richmond, Ind.
Ada was employed with Quaker Windows in Freeburg, until she retired at the age of 62.
She was preceded in death by husband, John; parents, James and Flore; sister, Fay Brown; and brothers, David and John Welch.
Ada is survived by children, David Gibson and wife Jan of Vienna, Barbara Gibson Hladky of Freeburg and Richard Hoy and girlfriend Carla Ortega of North Las Vegas, Nev.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
A private family gathering will be held at a later time. Inurnment will be in Holy Family Cemetery in Freeburg.
