Barbara Jean Burke, 64,Vienna, passed away Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021, in the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia.
She was born Sept. 30, 1957, to Russell and Betty (Auten) Karnes in Monticello, Ill.
She was united in marriage to Jon Lee Burke Dec. 2, 1978, in Monticello, Ill.
Barbara attended elementary and high school in Monticello, Ill. where she received her diploma.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Monticello where her family worshipped.
Barbara was employed by G&W Foods in Vienna, as supervisor and manager of the deli for more than seven years.
She was preceded in death by sister, Mary Ellen Gallaher.
Barbara is survived by husband of 43 years, Jon; parents, Russell and Betty of Monticello, Ill.; sons, Jacob Burke and friend Allison Fairbanks of Vienna and Brendan Burke and wife Amanda of Live Oak, Fla.; three granddaughters; siblings, Karen Rocha of Champagne, Ill., Becky Powell and husband David of Adrian and Johnny Karnes and wife Tresa of Monticello, Ill.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date with the location, date and time to be announced by Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home.
