Bernard F. Falter, 79, Argyle, passed from this life Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, surrounded by his family.

He was born May 6,1944, to the late Henry and Mary Johanna (Bax) Falter in Maries County.

He was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Argyle and a member of the Knights of Columbus No. 2047 in Argyle, for over 55 years.

Bernard was employed with Quaker Window Products in Freeburg, retiring after 40 years of service.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, barbquing, watching western shows  and gardening, but most of all he enjoyed watching and feeding wildlife around his home.

Bernard was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Mary; brother, Clarence Falter and wife, Frances; brothers-in-law, Sylvester Steinman and Albert, Ildephonse, Edmund and Urban Wieberg; niece, Irene Rackers; and great-niece, Rachel Juergens.

He is survived by sisters, Mary Wieberg of Holts Summit, Josephine Steinman and Pauline, Bernadine and Frances Wieberg, all of Argyle; numerous nephews, nieces as well as great and great-great-nephews and nieces; and many other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, March 21, in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Argyle, with Rev. Basil Tigga and Rev. James Finder officiating and Deacon Michael Brooks assisting.

Interment was in the St. Aloysius Cemetery in Argyle.

Memorial contributions suggested for masses or the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Arrangements entrusted to Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Vienna.
