Billy Oliver Snodgrass, 82, Meta, passed away Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, in Landmark Hospital in Columbia.
He was born March 11, 1941, to the late Chester Norman “Ted” and Ruby Ruth (Copeland) Snodgrass in Vienna.
He was united in marriage to Melvena Adkins Jan. 23, 1960.
Billy worked for Brown Shoe Factory in Dixon, MFA in Vienna and Stratman Trucking.
He was preceded in death by parents, Chester and Ruby; son, Rowdy Snodgrass; and siblings, Delmar Snodgrass, Velma Hayes and Dallas Snodgrass.
Billy is survived by wife, Melvena of Meta; children, Russell Snodgrass and wife Phyllis and Billy Snodgrass, Jr. and wife LeeAnn, all of Vienna and Rhonda Schwartz and husband Roy of Argyle; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald Snodgrass of Vienna and Dennis Snodgrass of Vichy; and sister, Vivian Sandbothe of Taos.
Funeral services were held Feb.19, at First Baptist Church in Vienna with Rev. Chris Slocum officiating.
