Dale Benson, 74, Loose Creek, passed away Friday, June 30, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born Jan. 10, 1949, to the late Herbert and Margaret (Perrey) Benson in Chamois.
He attended Hazelwood High School in Hazelwood.
Dale was united in marriage to Jerri Peters Oct. 19, 1968 at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein.
He was preceded in death by parents, Herbert and Margaret; and niece, Lori Benson.
Dale is survived by wife of 54 years, Jerri; daughters, Penny Benson of Freeburg and Holly Eynard and husband Tim of Loose Creek; five grandchildren; brothers, Mike Benson and wife Kathy of Grove, Okla. and Donnie Benson and wife Mary of Linn; sisters, Ruth Withers of Holts Summit and Sandy Monroe and husband John of Linn.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, July 8, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Catholic Church in Linn with Rev. Colin Franklin officiating. Inurnment will be held in St. George Parish Cemetery.
Memorial contributions suggested to Make a Wish Foundation, American Kidney Foundation or to the American Cancer Society.
