David Michael Deeken, 70, Vienna, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021, in Villa Marie in Jefferson City.

He was born Sept. 29, 1950, to the late Henry Vincent and Elizabeth Mary (Redel) Deeken in Jefferson City.

He was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Deppe April 15, 1972, in Jefferson City.

David was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Vienna, and was self-employed in timber work as a wood cutter, prior to his retirement.

He was preceded in death by wife, Shirley; parents, Henry and Elizabeth; sisters and brothers, Leona “Sis” Busche, Lucille “Lucy” Libbert, Frances Falter, John, Clemens “Pat”, Charles, Henry Jr. and infant brothers, Anthony and Joseph Deeken.

Those left to mourn the passing of David include son, Bradley Deeken of Dixon; grandson, David Gabriel “Gabe” Deeken of the home; brother, Harold Deeken and wife Joan of Meta; and sister-in-law, Imelda Deeken Riley of Vienna.

A Mass of Christian burial was held Saturday, June 12, in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Vienna with Rev. Basil Tigga officiating. Interment was in the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery in Vienna.

Memorial contributions suggested to Visitation Interparish School in Vienna. Arrangements entrusted to Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Vienna.
