Floyd G. Frank, Jr., 93, Linn, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, at SSM Health St. Mary’s in Jefferson City, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born July 8, 1930, to the late Floyd G. Frank, Sr. and Mary E. (Schaefer) Frank in Kansas City.

He attended grade school in Rich Hill and later earned his GED.

Floyd served his country in the U. S.  Marines. 

He was united in marriage to  Anna Marie Jaegers Oct. 2, 1954, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek. 

Floyd was a lifelong farmer who also worked for Locks Mill Feed store, Kliethermes Construction Company, and later retired from Missouri State Penitentiary in Jefferson City after 32 years of working in the maintenance department. 

He was a member of St. George Catholic Church and of Linn Knights of Columbus Council #4838.   

Floyd enjoyed collecting coins and stamps, woodworking, barbecuing, making homemade wine and playing cards. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.   

Floyd was preceded in death by spouse of 59 years, Ann: parents, Floyd and Mary; son, Richard Frank; brothers, Francis “Buck” Frank and wife Agnes and Ferdinand “Fick” Frank and wife Connie; and brothers-in-law, Ben Haslag and Al Hentges.

He is survived by sons, Floyd George Frank, III and wife Wanda  and Jeffrey Frank and wife Tammy, all of Linn; daughters, Carolyn Thies and husband Laverne of Kewanee, Ill., Marilyn Benton and husband Steve and Evelyn Frank, all of Linn and Geralyn Burke of Hannibal; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Frank of Lebanon; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; brothers, Frederick “Joe” Frank and wife Betty, Felix “Butch” Frank and wife Doris, Forrest “Bill” Frank and wife Sylvia and Fredolin “Henry” Frank and wife Carol, all of Rich Fountain; sisters, Connie Haslag and Marieta Hentges, both of Loose Creek; special dog, Willow; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, March 19, at  St. George Catholic Church in Linn with Fr. Colin Franklin officiating.  Interment with Full Military Honors was in the St. George Parish Cemetery.
