Gary Lee Rost, 59, Morrison, passed away Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, at Drake.
He was born April 12, 1964, to Omer and Rosemary (Keilholz) Rost in Jefferson City.
He was united in marriage to Julia Ann (Jones) Rost Nov. 29, 1990, in Jefferson City.
Gary proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and then the National Guard.
He was employed as a union sheet metal worker for Monsanto and Natch.
Gary was preceded in death by wife, Julia; and father, Omer.
He is survived by mother, Rosemary of Chamois; step-sons, Bruce Alan Wehmeyer II and wife Chasity of Grandview and Andrew Wehmeyer and wife Brittany of Bland; step-daughters, Alicia Wehmeyer and Jennifer (Wehmeyer) Gibson and husband Chad, all of Owensville; brother, Kenneth Rost and wife Jackie of Chamois; sister, Denise Mausshardt and husband Chuck of Ballwin; and 14 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 14 and the funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 15, all at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home in Hermann. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery in Morrison.
Memorial contributions suggested to the funeral home to help cover expenses.
