George Walter Wuelling,71, of Plattsmouth, Neb. passed away April 2, 2021, at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, Neb.
He was born in Dec. 29, 1949, to Walter A. and Virginia (Nichols) Wuelling in Chamois.
George graduated from high school in Plattsmouth, Neb. He was employed with the Lyman Richie Corporation as a dredge operator for many years before retiring. Afterwards George worked for the Douglas County Corrections Department as a Corrections Officer.
He was a long-time member of the Plattsmouth Fraternal Order of Eagles FOE 365.
George enjoyed bowling and traveling in his free time.
He was preceded in death by father,George Wuelling; mother and step-father, Virginia and Edwin Duncan; and brother, Herbert Wuelling.
George is survived by brothers, David Wuelling and wife Phachini of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., James Wuelling of Plattsmouth, Neb.; and sister, Mary Griff and husband Larry of Omaha, Neb.
Public graveside services were held April 19, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth, Neb.
Memorial contributions suggested to Plattsmouth Fire and Rescue Departments.
