Geraldine Doyel, 94, Springfield, formerly of Maries County, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021, in the James River Care Center in Springfield. She was born April 27, 1926, to Hayden Mark and Martha Overy (Minzes) Blackwell.
She was united in marriage to Floyd Nelson Doyel Sept. 28, 1944, in Vienna.
Geraldine attended Kenner Church of God in Hayden and was a member of the United Methodist Church.
She was employed with Wayne Metal Company in Dixon and Marshfield until retiring May 23, 1999.
Geraldine was preceded in death by husband, Floyd; infant daughter, Rose Marie Doyel; brother, Clarence Blackwell; and sister, Nola Robertson.
She is survived by daughters, Carol Walker and husband Kenneth of Springfield and Pamela Wailand and husband Russell of Winder, Ga.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Russell Blackwell and wife Lucille of Jonesboro, Ark.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday , May 11, followed with the interment all in the Kenner Cemetery in Dixon, with Rev. Dale Blackwell officiating. Memorial contributions suggested to the Kenner Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.
