James Anthony “Jim” Fick, 86, Vienna, passed away Thursday, Nov. 23, 2023, in SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City.
He was born Jan. 31, 1937, to the late Sylvester Henry and Bertha Ann (Kloeppel) Fick in Brinktown.
He served his country in the U. S. Army. Jim was united in marriage to Georgena Naomi Laubert Sept. 7, 1957, in Vienna.
He was employed with the Missouri Department of Transportation, Stratman Trucking and Fick Distributing.
Jim was preceded in death by parents, Sylvester and Bertha; brothers, Joseph, Aloysius “Al” and Ralph Fick.
He is survived by wife Georgena of Vienna; children, Alan Fick and wife Terri and Glenn Fick and wife Jill, all of Vienna, Kathy Nelson and friend Rob Cox, Kevin Fick and Peggy Copeland and husband Jamey, all of Jefferson City; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Nov. 28 in the Visitation Catholic Church in Vienna, with Rev. Basil Tigga officiating and Deacon Micheal Brooks assisting.
Interment was in Visitation Cemetery in Vienna
Memorial contributions suggested Masses or to Pam’s Angels Relay for Life.
