He was born Sept. 21, 1942, to the late Orvil and Margie Steinkamp in Union.

After retirement, he became an avid collector of antiques, collectible cards, coins and stamps. He enjoyed watching western movies particularly John Wayne and WWE wrestling with his mom Margie while having the TV volume at 100 decibels. In between computer games, watching TV and searching for collectables online, Lanny always made time to visit his local Casey’s multiple times a day to pick up his favorite slushie and socialize for what felt like an hour.

Funeral Services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 7, at the First Baptist Church in Belle with Chris Cook officiating. Interment was in the Pilot Knob Church Cemetery.
