Margie Rice, 86, of Jefferson City, passed away on Monday, Feb. 19, 2024, at Heisinger Bluff in Jefferson City.
She was born March 1, 1937, to Gus and Mattie (Wilson) Mantle in Linn.
She was united in marriage to Carl Rice, March 2, 1954, in Linn.
Margie was the office manager for Dr. Kerns Dental office for over 30 years, retiring Aug.12, 1996. She was a member of Capital City Christian Church in Jefferson City.
Margie was preceded in death by parents, Gus and Mattie; brother, Elmer Mantle; and sister, Louise Bonnot.
She is survived by husband of 69 years, Carl, of the home in Jefferson City; children, Lou Ann “Daisy” Isenberg and husband Larry of Jefferson City, Linda Adkison and husband Terry of Russellville, David Rice and wife Shirley of Brazito, and Lisa Bartow and husband Sam of Lohman; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held. Inurnment will be held in the Linn Public Cemetery.
Memorials suggested to the Miller County Group Home in Osage Beach.
