Patricia “Pat” Baclesse, 74, Overland Park, Kan., passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, Kan.
She was born May 3, 1946, to the late Roy and Della (Matlock) Slaughter in Pittsburg, Kan.
She was united in marriage to Dale Baclesse Nov. 9, 1963, at St. Mark’s Methodist Church in Overland Park, Kan.
Pat attended Linn High School and graduated from Avila University Cum Laude with an Accounting Degree.
She worked for Farmland Industries and held various leadership positions including Division Assistant Controller.
She was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Della; brother, Bub Slaughter; and sister, Joy McClellan.
Pat is survived by husband, Dale; daughters, Michelle Stangohr and husband Mark of Lenexa, Kan. and Angie Berhorst and husband Mark of Linn; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Lonnie, Lew, and Tom Slaughter; and sisters, Joan Koopman and Vern Kemp.
The funeral service was held at 1 p.m., Sunday, March 14, at Morton Chapel in Linn with Pastor William Barkman officiating. Interment was in the Linn Public Cemetery.
Memorial contributions suggested to Melissa’s Second Chance of Shawnee, Kan., Always and Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary and Humane Society of Greater Kansas City.
