Raymond Casper Dudenhoeffer, 93, Freeburg, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020, at the University of Missouri Medical Center, Columbia.
Ryamond was born Nov.10, 1926, to Peter and Margaret (Reinkemeyer) Dudenhoeffer at Freeburg.
He was united in marriage June 18, 1955, to Viola Marie Redel, in Argyle. To this union, two children were born.
Ray was a U.S.Army veteran and served in Germany during his military career. A man of excellent character, Ray’s “Honorable Discharge” is a testimonial of honest and faithful service to his country. He was a lifelong member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and a longtime member of the Paul A. Hasenbeck Memorial American Legion Post 317, both in Freeburg. During his working life, Ray had been employed by the Quaker Window Products Company, Freeburg, in the Order Department for 38 years prior to his retirement.
He was preceded in death by son, Daniel Ray Dudenhoeffer; his parents, Peter and Margaret; brothers, Hubert Peter Dudenhoeffer, Philip Joseph Dudenhoeffer and Ignatius “Bud” Dudenhoeffer; sister, Agnes Frank and brother-in-law, Norbert Frank.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Viola of the home in Freeburg; daughter, Dina Libbert, and husband Loyd, of Freeburg; grandchildren, Ryan Libbert and wife, Erica, Heather Phipps and husband, Neil, Missy Bexten and husband, Jesse, Megan Bauer, Nathan Dudenhoeffer and wife, Kristina, and Danielle Holterman and husband, Glen; great-grandchildren, Thomas, Maya, Toby, Kylie, Carter, Brayden, Isaiah, Noah, Alex, Molly, Jonah, Abigail, Alex, Ethan, Jordy, Jayce, Eli, Joella, and Cole; sisters-in-law, Mildred Dudenhoeffer and Martha Dudenhoeffer, both of Freeburg, and Jo Dudenhoeffer of Jefferson City; nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, June 15, in the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg, with the Rev. Matthew Flatley as the celebrant. Interment, with full military honors by American Legion Post 317, was in the Holy Family Cemetery, Freeburg. Pallbearers for Ray were Ryan Libbert, Thomas Libbert, Glen Holterman, Jayce Tobin, Eli Tobin, Jesse Bexten, Neil Phipps, and Nathan Dudenhoeffer.
