Raymond Casper  Reinkemeyer, 84,   Folk, passed away Monday, Sept. 11, 2023, at Stonebridge Westphalia Hills.

He was born May 4, 1939, to the late Bernard “Ben” Joseph and Frances Elizabeth “Ella” (Wieberg) Reinkemeyer in Argyle.

He served his country in the U. S.  Army and Army Reserves.

Raymond was united in marriage to Virginia Margaret Steinman, Oct. 16, 1965, in Argyle.

He was employed with the Missouri Department of Transportation for over 42 years, retiring as a Machinist. 

He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Folk and a member of the Westphalia Lions Club. 

Raymond enjoyed working on the family farm in Folk, gardening, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a “big man with an even bigger heart.”

Raymond was preceded in death by wife, Virginia; parents, Bernard and Frances; daughter-in-law, Dionne Reinkemeyer; and siblings, Leo Reinkemeyer and Patricia Weider and husband Dennis.

He is survived by children, Cindy Meldrem and husband Jeff and Darla Baslee and husband Paul, all of Jefferson City and Darrin Reinkemeyer of Folk; grandchildren, Courtney and Kristen Meldrem, Caleb, Peyton, Wyatt and Eli Reinkemeyer; six great-grandchildren; siblings, William “Bill” Reinkemeyer and wife Anna Marie of Jefferson City,  Felix Reinkemeyer and wife Sandy of Taos and Marita Wansing and husband Daniel of Dixon; and sister-in-law, Betty Reinkemeyer of Argyle.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, Sept.15,  at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Folk with the Rev. Dylan Schrader officiating.  Burial with military honors followed in the parish cemetery.

Memorial contributions suggested in care of the family for a future benefit of the Church.
