Robert Louis “Thai” Jensen, 71, Dixon, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at his residence.
He was born April 1, 1950, to the late William Foster and Edna Alean (Faulkner) Jensen in St. Louis.
He was united in marriage to Linda Louise Stubbs, May 29, 1971, in Newport News, Va.
Robert served his country in the U. S. Army as the rank of Sgt. (E5) until June 16, 1978, when he was honorably discharged. He was awarded and entitled to wear the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal with Third Award, Driver and Mechanic Badge, Driver W, Marksman Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar (M14 and M16), Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Two Oversea Service Bars.
Robert was employed as a corrections officer in Danbury, Conn., and Indian Springs, Nev., for 20 years prior to his retirement.
He was preceded in death by parents, William and Edna.
Robert is survived by wife of 50 years, Linda, of the home in Dixon; daughters, Kristina and husband Ethridge “Jay” Taylor of Laquey and Lisa Jensen-Farmer and husband William of Dixon; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, William “Dub” Jensen, state of Arizona, Karen Durbin of Milwaukee, Ore. and Jennifer Jensen of Eureka, Calif.
