Roger G. Gerloff, 72, Chamois, passed away Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 24, 1951, to the late Martin and Barbara (Crider) Gerloff in Chamois.

He attended school in Chamois.    

Roger was united in marriage to Shirley Sieg June 14, 1969, at the First Baptist Church in Chamois. 

Before his retirement in 2012, he was employed at ABB as a coil winder.

Roger was a member of the Chamois First Baptist Church and the Mint Hill Shooters for many years.

He was an avid arrowhead hunter and collector, enjoyed playing the guitar, deer hunting and fishing.

Roger enjoyed cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and the Mizzou Tigers.  His greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

Roger was preceded in death by parents, Martin and Barbara; brothers, Raymond, Leo and Dorsia Gerloff; sisters, Helen Murphy, Amondalene Whithaus, Sharon Pemberton, Brenda Brandt, Erlene Trachsel and Josephine Witthaus.

He is survived by spouse of 54 years, Shirley; daughter, Geneva Dial and husband Travis of Wardsville; sons, Roger Gerloff, Jr.  and friend Heather Stafford of Westphalia and Martin “Marty” Gerloff and wife Savannah of Chamois; sister, Dorothalen Mowery of Ellisville; grandchildren, Lindsey Allen and husband Jared, Levi and wife Payton, Logan and wife Kendra, Austin, Madeline, Grayson, Sadie and Brooks Gerloff; great-grandchildren, Watson, Maeva and Ari; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 15, at Morton Chapel in Chamois with Rev. John Spurlock officiating.
