Zelda Mae Beasley, 74, Owensville, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Gasconade Manor in Owensville.
She was born Nov. 10, 1946, to Ora and Florence (Redden) Carwile in Owensville.
She was united in marriage to Ronald Norbert Beasley Oct. 28, 1967, at New Salem Baptist Church.
Zelda was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She enjoyed painting sun catchers with her grandkids of all ages, going to craft shows, collecting eagles, baking, gardening, planting flowers and canning.
She was preceded in death by parents, Ora and Florence; husband, Ronald; daughters, Brenda Bethune and Debra Carwile; two brothers; sister and brother-in-law, Jewell and Junior Birkmann; and one nephew, Dale Birkmann.
Zelda is survived by daughter, Sherrie Cochran and husband Donnie of Eldon; son-in-law, Robert A. Bethune of Belle; grandchildren, Amber Ensor and husband Adam of Gerald, Robert J. Bethune of St. James, Ryann Alvarez and husband Anthony of Owensville, Kelsie Bethune of Belle, Shawn and James Wright of Eldon and Hannah Wright and fiance’ Chad Burnett of Rocky Mount; great-grandchildren, Koltyn, Remi and Asher Ensor and Landen, Onah and Oaklee Burnett; niece, Connie Coppedge of Mt. Sterling; nephew, Bill Birkmann and wife Debbie of Jamestown; and cousins, Larry Carwile of Loose Creek, Johnny Carwile of Russellville, and Danny Carwile of Hartsburg.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by the funeral services at the Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Interment will be in Countyside Memorial Gardens in Belle.
