Chamois harriers had a great day at last Tuesday’s Show-Me Central Conference meet at Vienna, with four runners medaling.
“All of the runners that received a medal ran a better time than they did the first time at Vienna,” said Coach John Leach. “
Grayson Gerloff led the boys’ team with a third-place time of 19:57, as Evert Mehmert earned sixth in 20:50, and Kaden Wuelling was 12th in 23:14, just missing the medals.
Emma Mehmert placed fifth in 26:13, and Carly Schollmeyer was seventh in 26:56 as both brought home a medal.
Schollmeyer ran the best race of her cross-country career, Leach noted. She held eighth place for three-quarters of the race and made her move on the second loop to earn her fourth straight All-Conference medal.
“I’m proud of all the runners,” said Leach.
