Chamois held the lead multiple times and went ahead on a three-point shot with less than two minutes remaining. Unfortunately, the Rolla Senior High homeschool team regained the lead by one point on the next possession, and the Lady Pirates ran out of time in a 20-19 loss.
“Everyone played with great effort — diving for loose balls, creating turnovers, and fighting for jump balls,” said Coach Jennie Holifield. “While it was a hard loss, it was a game this team should be extremely proud of.”
Earlier in the week, the girls fell to Newburg, 86-18.
“While the score didn’t reflect our effort, the girls continued to compete and play hard throughout the game,” said Holifield.
