Chamois cross-country runners on Saturday completed at the Harrisburg meet held at Gans Creek in Columbia.

“What a great day to run the on the state course,” said Coach John Leach. “It was cool to run really well and all six of the runners did a great job running their best time of the year. I’m very proud of the effort and the way they ran. We did not get any medals but the field was really good.”

At the high school level, Caleb Keilholz led the team with a PR of 18:48 for 39th place. Next was Jaxon Wuelling, whose 19:04 (PR) earned 47th place. Bill Kirsch (101, PR 21:14) and Dawson Brandt (125, PR 21:59) rounded out the squad.

In the JH race, Carly Schollmeyer was 36th in a personal-best time of 14:11, and Jaelyn Thoenen finished 64th in a PR of 15:33.
