Chamois turned in a solid performance at last Wednesday’s Show-Me Conference cross-country meet at Fatima as the boys finished fourth as a team.
“It was a good day to run conference and we earned five medals, just missing two more by one place,” said Coach John Leach. “It was great day that for us. We did very well against good competition.”
Caleb Keilholz was the lone varsity Pirate to medal for his sixth-place time of 19:30. Next was Jaxon Wuelling, whose 20:18 was good for 14th place. He was followed by Evert Mehmert (24, 22:35), Bill Kirsch (25, 22:41), Kaden Wuelling (28, 23:11), and Dawson Brandt (32, 24:21).
In the girls’ race, Madeline Gerloff finished seventh to earn All-Conference in 25:26 as Emma Mehmert finished 11th in 25:53.
At the JH level, Grayson Gerloff (13:13) was fourth to earn All-Conference, along with Levi Weed (5, 13:15).
In the girls’ race, Carly Schollmeyer earned sixth in 15:39 and Jaelyn Thoenen was 11th in 16:41.
