Chamois had a solid start to the season with a 53-33 win over Vienna as junior Katie Keilholz lit up the scoreboard with 30 points, including a record-breaking eight three-pointers.

“Katie had a good game shooting the ball and is off to a great start,” said Coach John Leach. “She was dialed in, and really pushed us to a big lead.”

MaKenna Wuelling also had a good night from the outside, hitting three treys on her way to 13 points, as Alexis Slusser put in six, and Claire Baker and Abby Keilholz each scored two.

Wuelling’s eight assists and five steals led the team, while on the rebounding front, Wuelling, Slusser and Brandt snagged eight
apiece, to go with six from Ariel Owens, as Chloe Holloway posted four, K. Keilholz had three, and A. Keilholz and Alex McKague finished with two each.

K. Keilholz also had a pair of steals and two assists, and Owens dished it twice, and Brandt added one assist.

“This was a good start to our season,” said Leach.

“We did good at both ends of the floor but we have things to work on. But overall it was good start.”

Chamois hit 8-30 from two-point range and 11-25 from beyond the arc.
